The short answer: A beautiful, light pan with effortless release when new and a coating that, like every ceramic nonstick, is on a clock. At a premium price, we would rather point you elsewhere.

Buy it if
Cooks who want a pretty, light pan for eggs and low-heat weeknight meals and accept replacing it in a few years.
Skip it if
You cook on high heat, use metal utensils, or expect a premium-priced pan to last a decade.
Best feature
Effortless release when new, genuinely pleasant weight and balance, and a finish that looks good hanging up.
Biggest annoyance
Ceramic sol-gel coatings lose their nonstick faster than PTFE coatings, and this one is no exception.
The catch
The coating is the product. When it goes, the pan goes with it — and you paid a premium for a pan with the shortest expected life in the category.

The 20-second verdict

Lovely on the stove, living on borrowed time. A beautiful, light pan with effortless release when new and a coating that, like every ceramic nonstick, is on a clock. At a premium price, we would rather point you elsewhere. Best for: Cooks who want a pretty, light pan for eggs and low-heat weeknight meals and accept replacing it in a few years. Skip if: You cook on high heat, use metal utensils, or expect a premium-priced pan to last a decade.

What we loved, and what annoyed us

What we loved

  • Effortless release out of the box
  • Light and nicely balanced
  • Looks good on a hook or a stove
  • PTFE-free, if that matters to you

What annoyed us

  • Ceramic sol-gel coatings lose nonstick faster than PTFE
  • Premium price for the shortest-lived pan type
  • Hand-wash only, medium heat only, no metal utensils
  • Discoloration on the cooking surface shows early

What We Loved

For the first months it is a joy. Eggs slide. It weighs nothing. It is the pan you want to photograph. The handle stays cool and the rivet-free interior is easy to wipe.

What Annoyed Us

Release declined noticeably in our kitchen within a few months of ordinary use — no metal, no high heat, no dishwasher. That is not a Caraway defect; it is what ceramic nonstick does. What annoys us is the price for a pan with that life expectancy.

The Catch

The coating is the product. When it goes, the pan goes with it, and there is no restoring it. You are paying a premium for a pan with the shortest expected life in the category.

Who it is for

  • Cooks who want a light, pretty pan for eggs and low-heat meals
  • People who avoid PTFE and accept replacing pans

Who should skip it

  • Anyone who cooks on high heat or uses metal utensils
  • People who expect a premium pan to last a decade

Performance

Excellent at first. Even heating, quick response. Release degrades over months of gentle use, as with every ceramic pan we have owned.

Ease of use, design, and build quality

Ease of use

Light, comfortable, oven-safe. Requires care: medium heat, wooden or silicone tools, hand-washing.

Design and build quality

Aluminum body, ceramic coating, stainless handle. Not repairable; the coating is the wear item.

Privacy and connectivity

It is a pan.

Safety notes

Manufacturer states oven-safe to 550°F. Do not overheat an empty nonstick pan of any kind.

Cleaning, maintenance, and ongoing costs

Hand-wash with a soft sponge. Avoid cooking sprays, which bake onto ceramic surfaces.

What it keeps costing you

Ongoing costs
ConsumablesNone
Expected lifeA few years with gentle use

Value

Poor for the money. A cast iron or carbon-steel pan lasts forever; a mid-priced PTFE pan releases better for longer.
