What We Loved
It does the boring thing well. Frozen fries, reheated pizza, roasted broccoli, chicken thighs — crisp, fast, and without the manual. The basket fits about two pounds of fries, which is exactly what two people eat. Cleanup is a basket in the dishwasher.
What Annoyed Us
Capacity. A family of four is cooking in two batches, and the second batch is done while the first cools. The exterior is warm to the touch after a long cook, so keep it clear of the wall.
The Catch
The basket's ceramic nonstick will eventually wear. Ours is fine so far, but this is a three-to-five-year appliance rather than a lifetime one. No metal tongs in the basket.

Performance
Fries were indistinguishable from the bigger, pricier competitor in crispness, with slightly less even browning at the edges of a full basket. Shake once halfway and the difference disappears. Dehydrate mode works but takes hours, as all air-fryer dehydrating does.
