What We Loved
It is one of the few products in this batch that is straightforwardly enjoyable. Scoop a handful, rub it over arms and legs, and the sugar dissolves into an oil that rinses to a soft, lightly conditioned finish; no lotion needed afterwards on a warm day. The rose scent is strong and old-fashioned and we liked it. Five months of twice-weekly use and the 18 oz tub is a bit over half full.
What Annoyed Us
The shower floor afterwards is genuinely hazardous and needs a rinse with hot water and a bit of body wash before the next person gets in. The oil separates and pools on top, so the tub needs a stir with a finger. The scent lingers on towels. Using it more than twice a week felt like too much for our skin, in a scratchy, over-scrubbed way.
The Catch
