What We Loved
For a year the same four pairs have gone into running shoes, boots and loafers, and not once has one slid down under the heel. That is the whole point of an ankle sock and most fail it. The toe seam is flat enough that we stopped checking which way round they were. The arch band gives a light hug that makes a long day on feet feel slightly better without ever feeling like compression.
What Annoyed Us
The white pairs look tired after a few months no matter how they are washed. The footbed, plush on day one, is now about as thick as an ordinary sock. And there is the quiet indignity of paying this much for four pairs of cotton socks and being told part of the price is philanthropy.
The Catch
The comfort premium is real but shrinks with every wash. If you replace socks every couple of years anyway, the difference over a good mid-priced sock is modest. If you keep socks until they die, the extra life is worth having.

Performance
They do the job of an ankle sock better than most: they stay put, they do not twist, and the heel does not thin into a hole. Moisture handling is ordinary cotton, so a summer run leaves them damp. The cushion is welcome in stiff shoes and unnecessary in soft ones. Wear after a year is fair, with slight thinning at the ball of the foot.
