What We Loved
Installing a car seat is where new parents fail, and this seat is designed for that fear: two bubble levels tell you the recline, the cinch strap pulls the base tight with one hand, and the carrier clicks in with a sound you can hear from the driver's seat. We moved it between two cars a dozen times over the year and got the same result each time. The ClearTex fabric was the reason we chose it over the standard KeyFit, and it has been easy to spot-clean.
What Annoyed Us
By month eight the carrier plus baby was a two-hand lift and our forearms gave up before the weight limit did. The canopy barely reaches the baby's knees in summer sun. The harness straps needed re-threading at each height change, which was fiddly with the seat in the car.

Performance
The base stays put; checked at the belt path it moves less than any seat we have installed. The harness adjusts smoothly once threaded, and the release handle at the back of the base is easy to reach. It rides low and steady in both cars.
