What We Loved
After a full season of deadheading, herb harvesting and cutting back perennials, the blades still meet cleanly and the cut edge on a rose stem is smooth rather than crushed. The handles are a good size for a medium hand and the spring has not lost its push. The lock lives under the thumb, so opening and closing it while holding a bundle of cut stems is one motion rather than a fumble.
What Annoyed Us
The low-friction coating does help, but after cutting sappy things like tomato suckers the blades stick until you wipe them. There is no replaceable blade on this model, so when it eventually dulls it is sharpen or retire. Push it into anything much over its rating and the blades splay.
The Catch
This is a light-duty pruner sold as an everyday one, and that is exactly right. It is not the tool for a hedge or a fruit tree. Buy it for the daily small cuts and keep a lopper for the rest, and it will be one of the longest-serving tools you own.

Performance
On stems up to the rated size the cut is clean and the blade passes with little effort. The spring return is quick and the pivot has not loosened. On woody growth near the limit it needs a firm squeeze and the cut is slightly angled. We sharpened once with a small stone and it came back to new.
