What We Loved
Through a full winter of dog walks and two weeks of shovelling, this sock did the simple thing: kept feet warm in leather boots and never felt damp inside. The cushion is everywhere rather than just at the heel, which is what you want when the boot is stiff. The knit is dense enough that after ten months of weekly washing there is no thinning anywhere. It feels like something a hardware store would sell, in the best way.
What Annoyed Us
We tried it in trail runners and gave up; the shoe became a size too small. It takes a full day to dry on a radiator after a creek crossing. The colour range is dull, though that may be a feature. The top of the cuff relaxes after a year and slides down a little on skinny calves.
The Catch
Thickness is the entire product. If you need a sock for cold boots, buy it. If you need a sock for shoes, buy something else; there is no in-between here.

Performance
Warmth is excellent, better than the lighter merino socks by a clear margin, because there is simply more sock. Moisture handling is decent in ordinary use and poor once genuinely wet. Durability so far is very good: no thin spots after ten months. Comfort in a boot is plush and quiet.

Sizing by shoe-size range is easy. They are a little stiff out of the packet and soften after two washes. No left or right.
