What We Loved
Plug a laptop in with one USB-C cable and it gets charged, wired network, a keyboard, a mouse, a webcam and a second monitor through the DisplayPort out. That has replaced a separate dock and a tangle of cables on our desk for a year. The panel itself is the other half of the story: blacks are noticeably deeper than on the S2722QC beside it, text is razor sharp, and the colour was right out of the box without adjustment.
What Annoyed Us
It is a lot of money for a 60 Hz monitor. The design is aggressively plain, grey and black with a chunky stand. The on-screen menu is a little slow to respond. The Ethernet port needs a driver on some laptops before it works.
The Catch
You are buying a dock and a monitor together. The panel alone is not twice as good as a cheaper 4K; the ports are what you are paying for. Be honest about whether you will use them.

Performance
Contrast is the standout. Dark interfaces and films look properly black rather than grey, which no other office IPS we have used manages. The 90 W charging kept a 16-inch laptop topped up under load. Daisy-chaining worked at full resolution once the DisplayPort setting was changed in the menu. The hub has not dropped a device in a year.
Ease of use, design, and build quality
Ease of use
Joystick menu, quick input switching, a KVM function that lets one keyboard and mouse control two computers. The stand assembles tool-free and holds position.
Design and build quality
Business grey. Thin bezels, big stand, lots of ports. It is designed to disappear in an office rather than star in a photo.
Privacy and connectivity
No app, no account, nothing to connect. Dell's display manager software is optional.
Safety notes
Standard monitor with a heavy, stable base. Nothing gets hot.
Cleaning, maintenance, and ongoing costs
Microfibre on the panel; a firmware update once via Dell's utility, which was painless.
