What We Loved
The wire bounces in a way that no wand toy manages, with a jitter that looks exactly like a fly. Our two cats, one of whom ignores feather wands, both drop whatever they are doing when it comes out of the drawer. Nine months on we are on the second one, the first having lost its cardboard to a determined chewer. It has replaced a shelf of expensive toys.
What Annoyed Us
The cardboard ends soften and shred within a couple of months of regular play. It cannot be left out, because a cat alone with it will chew the end off and the wire could poke. It is also a toy that needs a human, so it does nothing for a cat home alone.
The Catch
It is a spring wire. A cat left with it unsupervised can hurt itself or eat cardboard, so it lives in a drawer between sessions. That is the whole caveat.
