What We Loved
The fountain's top bubbles water up through a plastic flower, and one of our cats, who never touched a bowl unless it was the dog's, started drinking from it within a day. Nine months later she still does, several times a day. On the lowest setting it is quiet enough to sit in a bedroom. It holds enough water for a couple of cats for several days, and the clear window shows the level.
What Annoyed Us
The pump, the flower, the dome, the filter and the base all separate for cleaning, and all of them get a film of slime within a week. Miss a cleaning and the pump starts to gurgle and the water tastes, to a cat, wrong. The suction cups under the pump lose their grip after a few months.
The Catch
The water level drops fast in a dry room, and once it falls below the pump intake the noise is loud enough to wake you. Check it daily. The filters are a subscription in all but name.

Performance
It kept the cats drinking, which is the only metric that matters. The three flow settings give a still surface, a bubble and a small stream; ours preferred the bubble. The filter takes hair and debris out of the water well enough that the bowl portion stays clear between cleans.
