What We Loved
Our test dog finished a bowl in under a minute before this bowl arrived and took several minutes after it. That has not changed in ten months. The dog is calmer after eating, there is less gulping air, and mealtime has become an activity rather than an event. The base grips the floor well enough that a determined nose does not shove it into the wall.
What Annoyed Us
Kibble wedges into the tightest corners of the notch pattern and a sponge cannot reach it. The dishwasher mostly manages, but a few pieces always survive. After several months the plastic shows a fine web of scratches from teeth and the blue has dulled.
The Catch
A big dog with a big jaw can grab the rim and flip it, scattering the meal, which defeats the purpose. Flat-faced breeds may not reach the bottom of the deep channels and get frustrated.
